Updated 4 September 2024
Date of assessment 25 September to 3 October 2024. The assessment was triggered by concerns that the provider had not responded to queries raised by CQC in a timely way. We found the provider had made improvements since the last inspection. People spoke positively about the support they received from staff. There were enough staff to meet people’s care and support needs and improvements had been made to systems used for the management of medicines. However, improvements were required to ensure the home environment was safe, and that checks were carried out on window restrictors and the safety of furniture. Improvements were also needed to ensure staff training was up to date to ensure the care provided by staff reflected current best practice. Although systems used to identify areas of learning had been improved, further work was required following each incident, event or piece of feedback, to ensure any themes or trends were identified and to reduce to the likelihood of reoccurrence.
