During a routine inspection
We spoke with the person who was staying at Glebe House and they told us they were going bowling later that morning and they were looking forward to it. We saw the person being supported by a member of staff to take part in activities which they had requested to do. These included washing up their plate having eaten their breakfast and vacuuming the kitchen floor. Records for the person showed they had been consulted and had planned their meals and activities for the duration of their respite stay.
We looked at medication storage and found it to be in good order. We were advised of a medication error which had occurred on the morning of our visit. As a result of the incident the member of staff had followed the services policy and procedure which included contacting health care services to ensure the person's health and welfare was not compromised.
We looked at the staff recruitment and training records along with records related to the maintenance of Glebe House. We found records to be in good order and fit for purpose.
