During a routine inspection
Bi-monthly house meetings were held for the people that used the service. This meant that people were empowered to make decisions on matters that affected them.
We saw that people's needs were assessed and care and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual care plan. Where appropriate people had signed their care plan to confirm that they agreed and understood the contents.
People using the service were protected from abuse as they were supported by a staff team who had appropriate knowledge and training of Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults.
People who used the service told us that they were happy living in the home. They told us if they had any concerns they would speak to their keyworker or the manager.
One of the people who use the service told us "the staff understand my routine and help me do all the things I like to do". They said "I like to do things for myself, but if I need help there is always someone around".
The provider had effective systems in place to monitor and assess the quality of the service. Action had taken as a result of comments received in questionnaires that had been sent out. This showed that the organisation valued people's comments to improve the quality of care provided and the overall running of the service.
