During an inspection in response to concerns
People we spoke with confirmed that their bedrooms are cleaned 'everyday', that they 'can go for walks and sit in the garden as they please.' A person said, 'I do what I want; sometimes I go to the pub with my family. I receive my newspaper every morning, all paid for.' Another person commented, 'I have a lovely bedroom. I have my own things. They wash all my clothes.'
We spoke with relatives during our visit and the comments received were all complimentary. One relative commented, 'Staff are lovely; no complaints.' Another said, 'We are very lucky to find this place. It's like a home from home.' The same relative added, 'The place is neat and tidy and the bedroom is always clean. Another visitor commented, 'It is a good service; the staff are friendly and caring, my relative is very happy here.' Another relative commented that 'any issue raised is dealt with immediately" and that the person is "well cared for.'
