During an inspection looking at part of the service
On the day of our visit, people at the service were having a special tea of fresh shell fish. One person with whom we spoke said "What a treat, it reminds me of days out in Southend."
We saw that people were relaxed and comfortable and some people were occupied doing hobbies. People were assisted by staff promptly and respectfully.
People with whom we spoke told us that they were asked their views, what they liked about living at the home and if they wanted to do anything different or wanted something special for tea. One person with whom we spoke said "It is all nice here, I don't have any complaints. I really like the company of the people here they are so friendly."
