People's support needs were clearly identified and guidance for staff was detailed and centred around people's individual needs and preferences. People's needs were regularly reviewed, and support was adjusted as required. People were supported to maintain relationships and follow their hobbies and interests.

People confirmed they were involved in reviews of their care and in activities at the home. One person told us, “I like the activities and join in when I want to.”

Staff considered what support people might require to participate in activities, to ensure they were able to have a good experience and overcome any potential barriers. We saw throughout the day a variety of activities were available to people.

People’s views were sought, and we saw people were involved in decisions about activities and entertainment in the home. People were supported to spend time with the those that were important to them.
