During a routine inspection
We found that the home was changing to a computerised record system and that this system does not record consent to treatment. Nor did the home follow the mental capacity act legislation regarding assessing capacity.
There were not consistently appropriate arrangements in place for the management of medicines specifically relating to accurate recording and the safe keeping of medications.
We found that the home was staffed by motivated and enthusiastic staff who received training to enable them to perform their tasks to a good standard. One relative described the staff as "amazing".
