During a routine inspection
From our observations we found that overall people had positive experiences. The staff assisting them knew what support they needed and were seen speaking to people in a kind and respectful way.
Four people who we were able to have a conversation with, said they were happy with the care they received. For example one person said, 'I'm happy here. You get good choices'.
Two of the four people said that sometimes staff were abrupt. For example one person said, 'Some staff are ok, some talk sharp when they are busy'. However other evidence did not support this.
We also gathered evidence of peoples' experiences of the service by reviewing questionnaires that had been completed by relatives and healthcare professionals in January 2012. We found that no one reported any concerns of poor care.
