We spoke with 21 people who used the service or their relatives. The feedback we received was generally positive. The standard of care was described as 'excellent' and 'wonderful". We spoke with nine members of staff who spoke positively about the provider and were able to demonstrate how they met the needs of people who used the service.
We found the provider had a robust recruitment process in place which ensured the correct checks were undertaken on people before they started work.
However, we found staff were not always provided with appropriate training in order to carry out their role. We found inconsistencies around the induction process and a lack of training for staff in some areas, such as manual handling.
We found care records were poorly organised with some information missing. This risked inappropriate care because key information was difficult to find.
