Staff provided person centred care to people ensuring equality and good outcomes for people living in the home. People and their relatives told us staff worked together to ensure the care provided was suited to people’s individual needs. One relative told us, “Staff are really good. I can email [registered manager] with suggestions, and they will always be taken on if possible. When [relative] is not well and unable to get out of bed they will still make an effort, once when [relative] wasn’t feeling great staff asked the Elvis impersonator singer to come and sing in their room, they really enjoyed it.”

Staff understood the importance of valuing people as individuals and getting to know their needs to ensure they provided person-centred care. One staff member told us, “I foster an open and respectful environment to encourage residents to share their views and ensure they all have equal access to services and opportunities. I also promptly address any concerns related to discrimination or inequality to maintain an inclusive atmosphere.

During our inspection questionnaires had been sent out to people and their relatives, providing them with the opportunity to feedback about their care. The results had not been collated at the time of this assessment, however we received positive feedback from all the people and relatives we spoke with.
