Throughout our assessment we saw staff followed good practice to support people with kindness.

We had numerous very positive comments which included, ‘All of them (Staff) are kind and caring. Very kind and respectful and very conscientious.’ ‘They’re all lovely there.’ ‘I have never come across anyone who I have felt uncomfortable with.’ ‘[Name’s] very comfortable and very settled.’

Staff were able to show how well they knew the people they supported and how they used this knowledge to provide people with kindness, compassion and dignity. One member of staff said, “The more you support someone the better you are, we have the care plans – [Name 1] - epileptic, has issues with over drinking which can cause seizures, they like to interact with staff and they rely on their own routine, this is very important to them. [Name 2] relies on their sensory bath to help regulate themselves.”

Throughout our visit we saw staff support people with kindness and respect. Staff encouraged people to be as independent as they could and knew people well.
