During a routine inspection
We noted that people were engaged with the activities by the home. A person using the service went out for shopping with a carer while another person went to a day centre. We noted that one person who used the service had a one-to-one staff support which indicated that their needs were assessed and responded to by the home.
People using the service appeared well and discussions with the manager confirmed that most people received regular visits by families and friends.
We noted staff had knowledge about people's needs and how to respond to them. We saw that staff recorded their interactions with people using the service and significant events after every shift as part of a handover. This enabled staff to be aware of what they should do in order to meet people's needs.
