During a routine inspection
We found people were treated respectfully, involved in planning their care and that their independence was encouraged. One person said, "The staff are nice to me and I get on well with them."
People received care, support and where necessary treatment to ensure their health and welfare. The planning and delivery of care met their individual needs. One person said, "I get the support I need from staff, I am very happy with it."
We found people were protected from risks to their health and welfare when they needed support from more than one agency as the staff worked in co-operation with others and made sure other agencies understood their needs and the challenges they faced. One person said, "The staff talk to my consultant and my community nurses to make sure I am well. They also come to my care programme approach meetings to support me and make sure I can tell people what I think and what I want."
The arrangements for medicines were safe. One person told us they managed their own medicines; the other person said, "The staff make sure I get my tablets on time and they bring me a drink. They always check I have taken them. I have some tablets for my physical and mental health. They suit me, I'm happy with them."
