During a routine inspection
People told us they were excited about the future plans for their home. We were told this would mean more support from staff, new bedrooms and new furniture. People told us they had been involved in all of the discussions about the changes.
We saw that staff had made good relationships with people and were friendly and respectful with them. We were told, "the staff are really good."
People told us they were involved in reviewing records about their care and had opportunities to invite who they wanted to attend review meetings. We were told there were lots of things to do. One person said, "I like doing my own room."
People commented that they had busy lives and went to work, day centres and college. We were told, "I've made a lot of friends, which I like."
From looking at records and talking to staff it was evident they had received training to enable them to offer care and support to the people living in the home. The staff we spoke with knew people well and clearly described how they assisted people, which was consistent with the records we looked at.
