During a routine inspection
We saw that the procedures were clearly explained to people and their consent was sought before any investigation took place.
We saw that staff were competent and suitably qualified to carry out their roles, and received regular support through the management team to do so. Whilst at the time of our inspection no appraisals were carried out for administration staff and clinicians not working for the health service, we noted that a progress and development review (PDR) process had been developed which was to be implemented in April 2013.
From the evidence we reviewed we saw that people who used the service were asked for their views about their care and treatment and they were acted upon. In addition there was a clear system in place to assess and monitor the quality of the service provided.
We saw the provider had a complaint system in place that ensured that people's complaints and concerns were fully investigated and resolved where possible.
