During an inspection looking at part of the service
People were supported to be able to eat and drink sufficient amounts to meet their needs. People and relatives that we spoke with told us that people enjoyed the food and that there was enough choice. One person said "The food is brilliant”.
People who use the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening. Relatives we spoke with told us that they felt people were safe in the home. One person said “I have no concerns about safety. They take everything you say very seriously”.
There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. People told us that the home was clean. One person said “This place is spotless”.
People were given support by the provider to make a comment or complaint. When we asked people if they knew how to make a complaint they told us that, if needed, they felt they would be able to. One person said “I would go to the office. I haven’t had a complaint but I know they would take an interest in what I have to say and not dismiss it”.
