People's health and welfare needs were being met and they were happy with the support provided. When people needed the support of other agencies or healthcare providers, we found that the service worked in co-operation with them to ensure people received appropriate care and support.

We found the management of medicines to be safe and appropriate to people's needs. We saw that people were supported by well trained staff who in turn, were well supported by the home's management team.

We saw that people were able to raise concerns or make a complaint and found that these were taken seriously and dealt with appropriately.

People said they appreciated having their own rooms, and being able to choose how they were decorated. One person told us "I keep my room as I like it."

One person said 'there are lots of activities here. I get a bit bored sometimes but I can always talk to the staff. "

People told us they liked living at the home. One person said "It's my home. I have lived here for a long time." Two people told us they felt safe at the home and the staff were "very helpful and nice."

We saw the staff who were on duty at the time of the site visit, were caring and kind in their manner towards the people. We saw staff members helped people in a thoughtful and considerate way. They were able to convey to us a good understanding of the needs of people who used the service and what kind of care and support each person needed.
