Our view of the service
Date of assessment 10 April to 18 April 2024. We completed this assessment in response to information of concern relating to incidents at the service. At this inspection we found improvements had been made to risk management and governance. There were enough staff to meet people's needs safely. Staff understood how to minimise risks to people’s safety and raise concerns if things were wrong. Where needed, people were referred to other services and professionals for health and social care support. However, further improvements were needed in the oversight of staff training, and to the systems set up to keep people safe, as these were not yet fully embedded by the service.
People's experience of this service
People and their relatives were happy with their care and felt safe living at the service. People described how staff supported them to reduce risks to their safety and where needed referred them to other professionals for support. People told us they were supported to maintain their independence and could make choices for themselves.
