During a routine inspection
We spoke with the relative of one person using the services of Choice Support Stockport and their comments included, 'I am very pleased with the way in which they (staff) have dealt with supporting [relative] to settle in to his home. The house is run like a proper home not an institution, people have choice and they are not just sat in chairs all day long, they are taken out places'.
We found that Choice Support Stockport provided people using the service with appropriate information and support in relation to their agreed plan of care.
Information was available to demonstrate that all staff had received appropriate safeguarding training and all staff we spoke with understood the different types of abuse and what action they would take if they had any concerns.
Staff were provided with appropriate training opportunities and received regular supervision both at the office base and whilst on site supporting people using the service.
We saw that there were effective systems in place to monitor and provide opportunities to improve service delivery. There was a complaints procedure in place and any concerns were followed up appropriately.
