During an inspection in response to concerns
they were very satisfied with the service. ' I couldn't manage if I wasn't here and I have got no complaints at all' said a person residing at the home.
A relative said 'I speak to the carers every time I visit the home and the carers are wonderful, they are really good. I consider my loved one gets all the actual care she needs from the carers. I have no problems with the girls.'
A person using the service said 'They don't hesitate to call doctor here and if anything is wrong they come to you straight away. We have a hairdresser and chiropodist and I get seen regularly. The carers are very good and are very kind. I have no complaints.' A relative gave further positive feedback regarding the care at the home and said 'I am more than satisfied with the care at the home. The staff are wonderful and they have always got time to see how you are. One of the carers always contacts me if I need to know of anything. The caring is up there and they are fantastic. The carers are so kind, they really do work hard.'
However, concerns were raised by a relative regarding the lack of activities taking place at the home. They said 'I go in there regularly and they don't seem to be doing much. Sometimes they have a sing song and sometimes they go into the garden but I have never seen people go out.' Concerns were also raised regarding the service not having a manager in post. 'We have had very little management at the home and managers seem to come and go, said a relative.' Staff also raised concern that the service has not had a manger in post for some time.
