During a routine inspection
Some people were observed being involved in group or individual activities, such as snakes and ladders. One person was doing some art work and the interaction between staff and people using the service was frequent and upbeat. People were listening to music of their era and staff engaged with people about their pasts.
During our visit, a volunteer was in the home who used to have a relative living there. People clearly enjoyed their visit and we observed positive interactions and reflection of events that had taken place in the home. There were some photographs of activities, including a very much loved pet the pat dog that had subsequently died. The manager stated that they were planning to find a replacement.
The atmosphere of the home was relaxed and people were unhurried
