One family member said, "I am really happy how they promote independence. [relative] is encouraged to complete daily living tasks slowly such as ironing and cooking dinners, their independence has really grown." Another family member said, “The culture of the service is to treat people as individuals.”

The staff were able to explain how to capture people’s views and communication tools they used such as visual aids and photos. Staff told us about opportunities made available to people in the home to promote independence such as food shopping and daily living tasks such as cleaning and cooking.
