During an inspection in response to concerns
People we spoke to said that they liked the staff and were well-looked after. People looked relaxed and comfortable in the home, and those we asked told us they felt safe where they lived and would talk to the manager or other staff if they felt unhappy.
Most people living in the home had limited communication skills, but those we talked to told us about their personal interests and preferences, and about activities they liked. On the evening we visited, one person was going out to a local community centre; a taxi was available to take him and bring him back from this activity. We saw other people relaxing in their rooms, listening to music, playing with musical instruments and watching television in the communal lounge area.
People were happy with their bedrooms and communal living areas; some had televisions and equipment to play music on in their bedrooms, and bedroom had personal effects and pictures on display.
