During a routine inspection
We spoke with two people whose comments were, "Extremely helpful, they treat us as if we were family, [they] couldn't treat their parents any better." "Very respectful of you as a person," and "A family atmosphere comes across."
People told us that they felt safe, that staff knew how to support them. We found that the atmosphere was friendly and that people were supported in their preferred routines. For example, some people were based in a large lounge and took part in activities and others in a smaller lounge where they could watch TV or sleep.
We spoke with two relatives and one healthcare professional. One relative told us that, "Staff are very caring. They always answer your questions and they do as they say they will." The healthcare professional told us that staff were good at communicating and were really helpful.
We found that improvements were required in relation to records specifically consent and care plans.
