During a routine inspection
Two care coordinators from the community mental health team spoke positively of the service; they told us people living in the home were receiving appropriate supervision and support. They said "staff are kind and patient, they provide the support and encouragement to people who need to progress and develop more practical skills".
People living in the home told us they liked the small homely environment; they found that recent improvements to the interior decoration had enhanced the accommodation and made the home a more pleasant place to live.
A person spoken with was preparing their lunch, they told us they enjoyed living at the home, they said "I can do a number of tasks independently and need minimal supervision from staff but it is reassuring to know there are present, I enjoy cooking and preparing my favourite Indian meals".
Another person spoken with told us they were pleased with their progress, they found staff were helpful in guiding and supporting them to minimise their use of alcohol.
