During a routine inspection
People were being involved in planning their support and were enabled to make choices and decisions about matters which affected them. People spoken with were aware of their care plans and had agreed with them. But we felt people could be more involved in making group decisions.
Although people spoken with did not express any concerns, we found some parts of the home were not promoting peoples' rights to privacy, dignity and choice.
People said they were getting support with healthcare needs, with regular check ups being arranged.
People spoken with were satisfied with the catering arrangements and how they were supported with food choices, meal preparation and cooking. But, we made suggestions about promoting healthy eating.
People said they would speak up if they were not happy with things and they considered the staff and manager to be approachable.
