During a routine inspection
We saw people experienced individual care and support from staff who respected their privacy and dignity and supported people to make their own choices. Where they were unable to do so there were satisfactory systems in place to ensure decisions made were in people's best interests.
Care plans were detailed, person centred and reflected people's individual needs and lifestyles. Staff had a good knowledge of each person. This meant people received the care and support they needed. A relative said how well staff had helped their relative settle in.
The areas of the home we saw were comfortably furnished and well maintained. People's bedrooms were warm, clean and arranged with their own personal belongings. A person we spoke with said they liked their bedroom and living at Donna's cottage.
We saw there were good systems in place for people to receive their medication regularly and in a safe way.
People received care from staff who were well trained and supported to carry out their role.
We found there was a satisfactory system in place for people to raise or be supported to raise any concerns or complaints they had and for them to be looked into.
