During a routine inspection
People with whom we spoke told us they felt they were well looked after and that they could make choices about their everyday life at Bennett Lodge such as where to spend their time and what time to get up and go to bed.
Some people living at the home said that they really liked their rooms and had their own key to so they could choose to lock it to maintain privacy. They also told us they felt safe living at the home. One person said, "The staff are very good to me, they speak to me nicely." A relative said, "I feel (person) is safe here, I realise now they look after (person) better than I ever could."
Feedback from four recently completed surveys, sent out by the owner to people using the service and their relatives, showed that overall, people were satisfied with the service. This included the care and support they received, the social activities available to them, the professionalism and knowledge of staff, the cleanliness and facilities of the premises and their confidence in raising any concerns and being listened to.
