During an inspection looking at part of the service
At this inspection we noted the shortfalls had been addressed.
Changes had been made to the dynamics of the bungalows and to the support some people received. This had enhanced people's independence and their overall well being.
People were relaxed and looked well supported. They were taking part in various social, educational and leisure activities depending on their individual preferences. People interacted well with staff and each other.
Staffing arrangements had been reviewed. As a result, new staffing positions had been created so that each bungalow had its own manager. It was anticipated the management roles would give additional time for specific projects and systems such as staff support and supervision.
Improvements had been made to the standard of cleanliness in the identified bungalow. All areas had been thoroughly cleaned and tidied. A system for regularly auditing infection control standards was in place.
The organisation was in the process of reviewing the effectiveness of its overall quality assurance processes. At a local level, audits were being used to monitor the standard of provision and to improve the service further.
