During a routine inspection
Each person had a care plan which clearly described the support that they needed. The care plans had been discussed with people and their families. Care plans were regularly reviewed and were updated as people's needs changed.
People had many opportunities for social and leisure activities. The home was an active part of the local community.
The home had robust recruitment procedures. All the required checks were carried out before new staff started working at the home. New staff were given a thorough induction, so that they gained the skills and knowledge they needed for their work.
There was an effective system for monitoring the quality of the service. This included regular opportunities for people living at the home to give their views.
