During a routine inspection
One person commented that they liked the staff, and said that they were 'lovely'; they 'never say no, none of them do'. Another person said that the staff were kind and added 'when I am feeling sad they help me and talk to me'.
We were told by people that the staff work hard and they felt that an additional carer on the first floor would assist them.
Relatives commented on the good attitude of care staff, one person visiting said, 'the care staff are all polite and thoughtful to people living in the home, and they consider relatives' feelings too'. Another visitor said the home is always very clean and the staff are always very helpful.
We were told by one person that it has taken too long to have repairs done to their bedroom, specifically mentioning a wallpaper border in their bedroom which was peeling off the wall and looked unsightly.
We heard a range of views about the food. Some people said that they like most meals. However some people told us that the food is sometimes not hot enough, and doesn't always take into account their particular needs.
