Our view of the service

We completed the assessment of Kingsway View between 12th November and 27th November 2024. The assessment was unannounced, and we completed on-site visit on the 12th November 2024. The assessment was completed in response to some concerns we received about the service. There had been recent changes in the management team. The service was led by a manager who was in the process of applying for their registration with the CQC. They were supported by the Group Quality and Compliance Manager/Nominated Individual. We found that the care provided was safe and delivered by staff who were determined to support people in a way that was person centred. People were happy with the care they received. Policies and procedures were in place to support good practise.

People's experience of this service

People and their relatives were happy with the care they received at Kingsway View Care Home. They felt safe and staff were caring and compassionate. Whilst there had been a recent change in the management, people had confidence in them and felt they had made a positive difference in the time they had been in post. The comments included, “I am just really happy that my relative is there, it has given me my life back and all the family peace of mind”; “The home is very clean, modern and. Very evident caring culture in there”; “I have no concerns or whatsoever, they’re absolutely brilliant".
