During a routine inspection
People were not always supported to do the things they wanted when they wanted because there were not always enough staff available to do this.
Staff supported people to ensure their health care needs were met. Generally people were supported to eat a healthy and nutritious diet. Some people on special diets were not given meals that ensured their needs were fully met. One person told us, "The food is good and the staff are lovely".
Arrangements were in place to ensure that people were safeguarded from harm. People told us they liked living in the home. One person told us, 'No problems here. If I am worried I will tell the staff'.
We saw that people's medication was stored safely and given to people as prescribed to ensure their health and well being.
The service had not been adequately managed and audits were not in place to ensure that standards were being maintained. People's views about the service had not been gathered, this meant the provider could not be sure that the service provided fully met people's needs.
