During a routine inspection
People told us that they went out and took part in a range of activities, including community based activities. They said that their hobbies and interests were supported. A carer who visits regularly confirmed this.
People using services said that they were involved in the running of the service including the cooking and cleaning. A carer said that the home was clean when they visited. Another carer said that they were always made to feel welcome when they visited and that the home was always clean. They said that they were very pleased with the manager and staff. They said the manager was 'bubbly and always informs me straight away of any problems'. They said that they were very satisfied with the service and that they had no complaints.
A carer who visits the home regularly said 'In short we feel that the staff at Kingston House are doing an excellent job'.
A care manager told us that the service treated people as individuals. They said that staff supported people hobbies and interests and that staff 'went out of their way to work with the local health care staff when a person's health deteriorated'. They said that staff 'did over and above what you would expect, even setting up a visiting schedule so that a person in hospital was never left on their own'.
