During an inspection in response to concerns
We spoke with one resident who said everything was fine, another resident said that they were bored and wished they were in the ground. We spoke to one resident, who was lying on her bed having lunch, she said that her pad was uncomfortable and she had asked someone to change it. She said that the pads were often not very comfortable for her.
One visitor told us that when they came there was always a fresh drink available for their relative but said that when they were not there they did not have confidence that food was always provided in a timely way.
One visitor said that that the cleanliness of the environment had improved since they had last visited in December 2010. One visitor said that there were no odours in the home.
Someone visiting the home told us that they were very happy with the way that their relative's medicines had been managed.
During our visits to the home, we found that visitors spoke highly of the staff. One person said that staff were lovely. Visitors said that the manager was approachable and responsive to suggestions made and that the home had improved as a result.
