During a routine inspection
People told us they had some choice in how they spent their day. One person said, 'I get up when I like and go to bed when I like.'
People said the manager was approachable and they saw her often. One person told us the manager 'does something about it' if they raise any concerns.
We spoke to one relative who told us he was always kept informed of any changes in his relative's condition and that staff always explained what they were doing and why.
The people we spoke to were satisfied with the care they received at Victoria Manor. Their comments included, 'I get the care I need.' and 'I can't think of anything they could do better.'
People told us they were satisfied with the meals provided. One person said, 'It's not as good as my home cooking, but it's ok.'
Other comments from people using the service included,
'It's a nice place and the staff are kind.'
'Everyone is friendly and nothing is too much trouble.'
'The staff come and help me when I press my buzzer.'
