During a routine inspection
The home was in Administration on the day of our visit. People living at Sherwood Grange Care Centre their relatives and staff were all aware of this and the statement of purpose clearly advised what the situation was.
All the people we spoke with said the home was very comfortable, they said they felt safe and they were given support to make choices and decisions about the care they received.
Comments included, 'I like it very much, and everyone is good to me.' and 'Night staff are very nice and patient.'
We spoke with some relatives who told us the communication is very good with the home, the matron is approachable and some carers were better than others. Other relatives we spoke with said they were very satisfied with the care and accommodation provided.
On the day of our visit we spoke with two health professional who were visiting. Both people spoke positively about the care provided. One person who visits the home regularly said, 'Health care needs are responded to quickly, good quality care is provided.' and 'staff try very hard they will contact if they have any concerns and will seek out additional training if required.'
