During a routine inspection
People's independence was encouraged. If people liked to help with household tasks this was recorded, one person liked to assist with cooking meals and others did their laundry if they wished to during their stay. A person who used the service told us, "We can help do things, I do the washing up with staff."
There were systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection within the service. We observed the environment to be maintained in a clean condition. Staff told us specific cleaning routines were in place to maintain a good standard of hygiene.
We viewed the staff supervision records. These showed that staff received supervision every two to three months. They demonstrated the competency of staff members had been assessed at the start of their employment and had been monitored as part of their supervision.
We looked at the complaints records and found none had been recorded since our last inspection of the service.
