During a routine inspection
During the site inspection visit we spoke to the registered manager, area manager, and two staff members. In addition we spoke to two relatives by telephone following the site inspection visit.
Whilst there was some limited communication with people living at the home it did not impact on the amount of information we gained about their experiences living there.
In addition to gaining the views and comments of people experiencing the service, we asked other external agencies including social services contracts team about the service. They reported the service was compliant to their standards and regulations.
People living at Clore House are encouraged to express their views in their own way. Two people living there were keen to show us their individual rooms and the facilities they have.
There was initially three staff on duty at the time of arrival, however due to the schedule only one staff member remained in the home during the site visit. We were able to talk to this member of staff during the inspection process, who told us they liked working at the home. 'I really like working here.' Also, 'We work well together as a team.'
Two relatives we spoke to told us they were happy with the care their relatives receive. 'I know my relative is getting the best care they can receive and that gives me piece of mind.' Also, 'My relative does so much, they are always busy doing something.'
