During a routine inspection
The office is situated within an administration block on the site of the provider's residential service. This was suitable as a base for the regulated activity.
We found that policies and procedures relating to this service were also used in the provider's residential service. Therefore procedures were available and ready when required.
The provider had a safeguarding procedure which staff would have to read and sign on their induction. Training in this subject was also available.
There was an effective recruitment and selection policy in place.
We spoke with the manager and the assessment and transition manger and were told that any staff employed to work on the personal care service would receive the same training as the staff who work in the residential service.
