During a routine inspection
All of the people we spoke with were satisfied with the service they had received. People had the choice of booking an appointment or they could just drop in without needing to make an appointment. People told us they were provided with useful information and received full explanations and advice on their care and treatment.
We found that care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that ensured people's safety and welfare were addressed. We saw that arrangements were in place to deal with foreseeable emergencies including appropriate staff training.
We found that young people accessing the service were being protected. Robust recruitment and vetting procedures were followed. This helped to ensure that only appropriate staff were recruited.
The service regularly assessed and monitored the quality of care and treatment provided by using a range of methods. People who used the service were encouraged to express their views and experiences and these were taken into account in the way the service was provided.
At the time of our visit the clinic did not have a manager who was registered with us. Our discussions with the area director for the clinic indicated that action to register a manager would be undertaken as a priority.
