During an inspection looking at part of the service
We found there were policies and procedures in place to ensure people who used the service consented to the support which they were assessed as needing.
We reviewed the care records held for two people who used the service. We found that the care plans clearly identified the needs of the person in relation to managing their mental health and the support they required to develop their independent living skills.
The person we spoke with who was using the service with told us they received appropriate support with their medication. However we found improvements needed to be made to help make sure medicines were always administered safely.
We found there were sufficient staff to meet the needs of people who used the service. We were told. 'All the staff are good at their job'.
We found there were adequate systems in place to regularly assess and monitor the quality of the service people received at Brier Crescent.
