During a routine inspection
We spoke with 12 service users who confirmed reablement assistants obtained consent before carrying out any activity. Some comments made by service users were, 'The carers (reablement assistants) were very good they always ask permission', 'They always ask permission and knock on my door before they come in'.
We saw evidence of person centred care planning in place. The manager told us reviews were carried out on all service users regularly and documentation would be updated. We saw evidence of this on the computer system. All documentation had been signed and dated by service users.
We spoke with 12 service users and received positive feedback about the reablement staff delivering their care. One service user told us, 'The staff are good they know what they are doing', another said, 'They staff are excellent and appear knowledgeable' and, 'The staff are very good they know what they are doing'.
Service users we spoke with were complimentary about the manager. One person told us, 'I have called the office, things are easily sorted. The manager is good'.
There was a complaints and compliments file which had a copy of the complaints policy in it for staff to follow.
