During a routine inspection
The four people who used the service we spoke with all confirmed they were happy with the care they received. Comments received included, 'The staff are good I have no concerns, it is like home I like my room', 'I am happy they talk to me about my care'
We spoke with two members of staff both told us there was enough staff on duty to care for people who used the service. One person told us if there was a shortage it was usually due to sickness and they would organise extra cover from staff or bank staff. We were told some staff had moved to the home recently due to a closure in another home operated by the same provider.
We saw up to date evidence of comprehensive monitoring and audits taking place. Some examples of these were, fire alarm checks, care plans reviews, supervision and health and safety. On the day of our inspection we observed a fire alarm check and a water safety check taking place.
People who used the service we spoke with confirmed they knew how to make a complaint. We were told, 'I have no complaints but if I did I would speak with staff'
