During a routine inspection
We spoke with four people living in the home and reviewed the records for two people to see if they were receiving the level of care and support required to meet their needs.
People told us that they were happy or satisfied with the care they were receiving. Comments included: 'I can honestly say they have been very good to me'. 'I have never regretted coming here'. 'You have to accept a lot of things'.
People felt that staff were approachable and respectful towards them and we observed this to be the case during our visit. People were accepting that staff may sometimes be busy with other people and they might have to wait for support. People told us: 'I have asked for help and got it, they can't be in two places at once can they'. 'I think they are jolly good they are always there to help'.
Staff spoken with were knowledgeable about the people they were supporting and were aware of the importance of maintaining people's independence where possible. We saw that people had been provided with mobility aids to help them move around the home safely.
People spoken with told us there was nothing they would change about living at Caldwell Grange. They told us they were happy or satisfied with the food and social activities provided.
