Altogether Care – Care at Home Limited Poole is a domiciliary care service providing a regulated activity of personal care. The service was providing care and support to people in their own homes. Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. At the time of this assessment, there were 137 people using the service. This was the first assessment for the service since their registration, therefore we included all the quality statements under each of the five key questions within this assessment. The assessment took place between 13 and 17 December 2024, we visited the office on 17 December 2024. Systems and processes meant people were protected from avoidable harm. There were enough staff, who had the necessary skills and training to provide care. People received their medicines as prescribed and risks to their health and wellbeing had been assessed. Safeguarding procedures were in place. The service learned from accidents, incidents and events. People had access to health and social care professionals to ensure healthcare needs were met. People were involved in their care and records were person centred. The service was developing people’s care plans and risk assessments further to ensure they were specific to their individual needs. People’s rights were fully respected, and consent was sought from people. Staff were kind and caring, taking into consideration people’s individuality. Community links were made and the service was passionate about fundraising for good causes. Governance systems were in place to ensure oversight. The manager told us they were committed to providing the best care and their staff team was amazing.
