We spoke with one person who used the service on the day of our visit. This person told us the health professionals were "very good" and described the quality of their care as "excellent." The person also told us, "I couldn't fault anything about today" when we asked them about their experience of using the service.People using the service were routinely asked to provide feedback. We reviewed the feedback received for the period between October and December 2012 and this showed that most people were satisfied with their visit and their MRI examination.
The environment was clean and organised and we saw that people's privacy was protected.
There were effective systems in place to ensure that the diagnostic imaging service and equipment functioned safely. This included regular checks and servicing of the equipment. The staff were trained in life support and knew what to do in the event of a medical emergency. Staff members were qualified, had regular training and opportunities for professional development. We saw evidence that the quality of the service was effectively monitored and the provider sought feedback from patients.
