Governance, management and sustainability
The provider was not able to demonstrate an understanding of their regulatory responsibility to evidence robust oversight of the quality and safety of the service. The provider was not operating in line with their own policies and were unable to evidence they were aware of the shortfalls we found during the assessment or the seriousness of these shortfalls in placing the person at potential risk of harm.
The provider did not have an effective governance process in place. The provider failed to demonstrate oversight of staff recruitment, induction, training, and competency. They were not able to evidence accurate records demonstrating care was being delivered safely and in line with the person’s needs and failed to demonstrate effective oversight and management of risks to the person’s safety.
