Our view of the service

We carried out this on-site announced assessment on 16 July 2024. We found the practice had met regulations. The practice had systems to manage risks. Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation. Infection control procedures followed published guidance. Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance. Patients were treated with dignity and respect. At the time of our assessment, patients could access care, support and treatment when required. There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. The practice is in the London Borough of Kingston upon Thames and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children. At the time of our assessment, the dental team included 2 principal dentists, 2 associate dentists, 4 dental nurses, 2 dental hygienists, 1 practice managers and 4 receptionists. The practice had 4 treatment rooms. During the assessment we spoke with one of the principal dentists, 1 dental nurse, 1 dental hygienists and the practice manager.

People's experience of this service

During our assessment, we saw patient feedback from 7 patients. Of the patients that responded, 100% said that they would recommend this dental surgery to family or a friend. Two weeks before our visit, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. 6 comments were received. 100% of views expressed by patients were positive. Comments included: “They have been very good at helping introduce the importance of dental care to both my children; I have found this to be a superb practice; Clean, efficient, gentle dentistry.” The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken. Staff gathered feedback from patients, the public and external partners and demonstrated a commitment to acting on feedback. Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness.
