During a routine inspection
People told us they were always treated with dignity and respect. They felt they were listened to and made to feel at ease. People said their treatment options were fully explained including the cost for their treatment. They told us they felt involved in making informed decisions about their care and treatment. We found the practice had systems in place to deal with foreseeable emergencies.
People said the practice was always very clean and tidy. They confirmed staff wore protective clothing when treating them. We found the practice had arrangements in place to ensure people were not placed at risk of cross infection.
People considered staff were competent to safely and effectively carry out their work. Staff received appropriate professional development. Staff confirmed they undertook ongoing training to ensure their continuing professional development and maintenance of their skills.
People had access to a complaints procedure should they not be happy with the service received. The people we spoke with said they had never had cause to complain. They told us they would feel confident in raising concerns and complaints directly with the dentist and considered that they would be listened to.
